Beyond Perception
"When you make something to fill a perceived lack, you are tacitly implying that you believe in separation." "The highly specific nature of invention is not worthy of the abstract creativity of God's creations." We can not know ourselves through perception. We have not image to be perceived. it is not a part of knowledge. "Prayer is a way of asking for something. I is the medium of miracles. But the only meaningful prayer is for forgiveness because those who have been forgiven have everything." Which is of course a prayer for something we already have. "As long as perception lasts prayer has a place...Communion, not prayer, is the natural state of those who know." "Do not perceive yourself in different lights. Know yourself in the One Light where the miracle that is you is perfectly clear.
Workbook:
Lesson 19
"I am not alone in experiencing the effects of my thoughts."
This is consistent with the idea that we are all of one mind. Our individual bodies make us think differently, but we are not alone in experiencing the effects of our thoughts. Still a difficult thing to envision. With time.
